The video clips to Watershed's songs are quite unknown in Europe as they were played very rarely or not at all on TV (apart from "Indigo Girl" of course that was played quite often). All the more I was glad to find at least a cantle (the last 74 seconds) of the video clip of "Shine On Me" on the internet! The video was directed by Ivan Leathers. To watch the clip you need at least version 6.0 of the Quick Time player (free download here). Have fun!

the appeal of the radio station Jacaranda (the old world record of Australia
was 1786 people), amongst them Watershed!
But the campaign wasn't only held to be written into the Guiness Book of Records, it also had a graver background: the raised money (4.8 million Rand) benefits the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA). Furthermore the cut hair (if it's long enough) will be used für wigs for cancer patients that have been treted with an chemo therapy.

|02/26/2004||Tour/ support Watershed|
|The Germany tour is over now for a while and
such is the South Africa tour in December/ January. Coming up next is
a tour in South Africa- three dates in April are already known. It is
planned that in the (European) summer Watershed will perform at several
festivals in Germany. You will get to know further details as soon as
the dates are confirmed!
Until then you can indulge in reminiscences of the last concerts and have a look at several concert pictures in the gallery! There are several concert reports (in German) in the forum, perhaps you want to participate and share your reports with us! The predominant language until now is German but you may write in English as well!
To help Watershed to get more airplay on European radio stations your assistance is in demand. Ask for their songs at the radio stations! Here you find a list with several radio stations with request programmes. If you know some more information about the request programmes or if you want more radio stations to be added (with pleasure also from all over the world!) please mail me!
Two German radio stations ask their listeners about their favourite
songs to make out a hit list that they will broadcast on Easter. Here
you can vote for Watershed, preferably for the latest songs "Closing
Down" und "Lovely Day".
Because Watershed are about to come to Germany in summer to play at
several festivals anyway it would be great if they are going to play
at the biggest German festivals as well: “Rock am Ring”
and “Rock im Park”! There are two websites that put up a
poll about the most requested bands for those events! Of course there
is no guarantee that Watershed will perform there if they're listed,
but those who put up the poll assure that they will hand that list over
to the concert promoter Marek Lieberberg. He will then decide which
band he's trying to get as well!
|I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy
2004 will hopefully bring us much more music and concerts by Watershed and big success to the band!

|12/5/2003||46664 / SWR3 interview|
Last saturday Craig played at the big AIDS benefit concert "46664"
in Capetown. He performed a -for live concerts quite unusual-"normal"
(that means without the dancing part) version of "Indigo Girl".
Craig said in an interview
on the German radio station SWR3 that according to him the two highlights
of the concert were Nelson Mandelas appearance on stage and Bob Geldorf,
who told Craig that to him "Indigo Girl" was the most beautiful
song that was played on that evening!
On December 10th Watershed will start their European tour with a concert in London, the next day they will play their first concert in Germany, Munich will be their first stop. Besides songs of their two albums "In The Meantime" and "Wrapped In Stone" Watershed will perform at least one new song. During the interview on SWR3 Craig sang a few lines of a song, that is only a few days old and that doesn't even have a title yet but will most probably be played at the concerts!
|11/25/2003||New lead guitarist|

|10/24/2003||Watershed play at AIDS benefiz concert|
29 November 2003 (the weekend of the World AIDS Day) the AIDS-Charity
Concert "46664" takes place at the Green Point Stadium in Capetown.
The 3 hours concert, which will be broadcasted worldwide on TV, radio
and internet, is supposed to draw the attention of the public to the AIDS
epidemic in Africa and to collect donations for the fight against AIDS.
Performances of popular African artists as well as international top acts are scheduled, such as Watershed (or rather just Craig W. Hinds), Bono, Eurythmics, Paul Oakenfold, Ladysmith Black Mombaza, Queen, The Corrs, Anastacia, Youssou N’Dour and Zucchero. 40.000 tickets are available for advance booking starting from next week.
In spring 2004 a CD and a DVD will be available of the event, which will include also songs from other artists. Already now, against a small donation, you can listen to or download a few songs from the official website 46664.com: In addition to the song "People" from Sting und Jimmy Cliff, the song "46664 (Long Walk To Freedom)" has eventually been released, written by Joe Strummer, Bono und Dave Stewart, sang by Bono, Youssou N’Dour und Abdel Wright.
AIDS is mainly a serious problem in South Africa: Currently there are 11 million children, who became orphans due to AIDS and are mostly infected themselves. Without any help from outside, there will be 25 million children infected by the end of this century. Currently there are in total 30 million people infected with AIDS in South Africa, but only 50.000 people receive medical treatment – there is not sufficient medicine available against this illness and, in addition, it is much too expensive.
The "46664 – Give 1 minute of your life to Stop AIDS" campaign was initiated by Dave Stewart, the Nelson Mandela foundation (Mandela’s former prisoner no. 46664 gave her its name) as well as Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen. Many other national and international stars support this campaign and call upon donations, to help the South African population to fight against AIDS.
More information about the project, the concert and about how you personally can help, is available on the website 46664.com.
